FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to visit Tanjung Puting?

You can visit all year round, in both dry and wet seasons — each offers a different beauty. Orangutan feeding times run daily, so wildlife sightings are excellent throughout the year.

How do I get to the starting point?

Fly to Pangkalan Bun (Iskandar Airport) from Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, or Banjarmasin. We pick you up at the airport and drive 20 minutes to the klotok in Kumai. We can also help arrange your domestic flights.

What is included in the tour packages?

Klotok boat with captain, crew and cook, a naturalist guide, all meals and drinking water, mattress and mosquito net, airport transfers, and national park entrance fees. Just bring your camera and sense of adventure.

Are your tours ethical for the orangutans?

Yes. We follow responsible-travel principles: keep a safe distance, never feed or touch the orangutans, avoid bringing food near them, and support conservation. Protecting wildlife and local communities is at the core of what we do.
